How to arrange an interior in Scandinavian style? What exactly is this style and why does it increasingly attract our attention? We present 5 things that are necessary when creating this interior.

In the series "5 ways to interior" we present tips on specific styles that you can be inspired by when creating a place for yourself. Scandinavian style still remains one of the most popular trends in the world of interior design. It refers to the styles in the Scandinavian country.

1 Function

In Scandinavian style interiors should be dictated primarily by functionalism. It is not worth resorting to unnecessary accessories and excess materials. Scandinavian style values, above all, simplicity - no matter what space we have to use. Let's bet on less rather than more.

2 - Simplicity

Once we have dictated the entire interior to functional solutions, it is worth focusing on materials for a moment - above all, in Scandinavian style it is worth betting on the simplest possible furniture and natural materials and textiles.

3 The basis is wood.

Speaking of materials - the basis is wood. There is no real Scandinavian interior without wood. It is worth choosing such a solution not only when choosing floors, but also furniture. Wood can be the basis of our interior.

4 Color scheme

As for the color scheme, it is worth betting on natural colors in contrasts - whites, beiges, soft greens, shades of black or gray. It is worth avoiding colors that we know from Glamour or Memphis style. Simple colors will work better here.

5. limited plants

For Scandinavian style, it is worth considering a floral accent in the form of plants. Whether you opt for live plants or dried grasses. They should be a delicate accent.
